sylvester stallone

sylvester stallone-2-820x1024Canadian creator David Morrell invented the Green Beret "John Rambo" character. The book was later modified by Stallone to star as the main character in First Blood (1982), in which he also appeared alongside Richard Crenna (and Brian Dennehy). It was an unexpected hit and polarized the public because it addressed the Vietnam war, which was still fresh in Americans' minds. In spite of political opinions it was an international hit, as was a sequel that came along by Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and attracted even more hate from several quarters owing to the film's plotline about American MIAs allegedly being held in Vietnam. However, they insist that no bad publicity occur. John Rambo's return to the ring resulted in a significant money-maker for Stallone. It affirmed his position as one of the top American male stars of the 1980s. Stallone enjoyed a rise in popularity and made Rocky Balboa his old sparring opponent. He returned to the arena to defend American pride from the threat of a Soviet threat, which was a Russian boxer named Ivan Drago (played by curt Dolph Ludgren in Rocky IV (1985). Although the fourth "Rocky" film was controversial with "Rocky" movie buffs because of its excessive violence, particularly when compared with previous movies. The evidence is clear by the brutal beating Apollo Creed (played by Carl Weathers) received at of an opponent in "Siberian Express".
